From the bizarro news department... Oklahoma police are on the lookout for "grease bandits" who have hit Mexican, Chinese, and steak restaurants in the Edmonds area over the past three months. That's right, they've been stealing grease -- nearly 5000 pounds of it!
They estimate the grease is worth about $400 (the restaurants normally sell it to a recycling plant) and that the bandits are probably looking to sell it on the used grease market. (Yes, apparently, there is such a thing as a used grease market.) Personally, I'd try to lure the bandits by staging a "World's Largest Deep-Fryer" competition; there's no way they could pass on a big score like that.
